World rivers day 2024
💧 Founded by internationally celebrated river conservationist Mark Angelo, World Rivers Day has been celebrated on the fourth Sunday in September since 2005. It highlights the many values of our rivers and encourages people to appreciate and care for their local waterways. There is no country in the world where rivers and their ecosystems are not in danger, may it be from plastic pollution, inadequate agricultural or industrial waste management, dams, or "simply" the consequences of the climate crisis we face - just to name a few.
💧 The more people talk about World Rivers Day and the array of threats our rivers face, the more action will be taken - on personal and on governmental level as well. This year we decided to contribute to the campaign by these posters you are free (and encouraged) to share on social media. Give people the chance to talk about the importance of freshwater.
